On the evening of Wednesday, July 27th White Sox’s player Mark Teahen and his wife Lauren will host Summer Soiree, a fundraiser to benefit the domestic violence prevention agency, Chrysalis. At 7:00pm Rockit Bar and Grill in Chicago’s River North neighborhood will welcome the Teahens, some of Mark’s teammates and other guests for a private reception.
Paul Konerko, Alex Rios, Edwin Jackson and other players will be in attendance for the reception, a silent auction of sports memorabilia and a raffle. If you would like a chance to see White Sox players and contribute to a great cause, you can purchase tickets at the door for $40 or online for $30.
Chrysalis is a non-profit that works in various ways to fight domestic violence, a problem that persists throughout the world. Rockit Bar and Grill is located at 22 West Hubbard in Chicago. Check out this event or the Chrysalis website for ways to support the cause!
